Who We Are

Kajsa and Jenny have been working on a design project that involves a sketching process and something like a letter exchange. Based on sketches they send to each other, they create designs digitally. Then, they combine their respective drawing styles into new expressive patterns. The sketches done by hand and the digital processing create patterns that, for them, represent Scandinavian design.

”We find inspiration everywhere around us, but mostly, we draw inspiration from Västerbotten’s nature and its powerful seasonal changes. When we created the Fjällvandring pattern, which you will see in the exhibit, we both had a great longing for going out for a nature walk. We wanted to bring to our design process an image of the mountains and the sense of freedom we feel there,” say Kajsa and Jenny. Kajsa’s and Jenny’s different backgrounds in graphic design and textile design, respectively, have led to an inspiring collaboration and a treasure trove of design ideas – covering everything from print to wallpapers, carpets, and textiles.
